A 4-day summer camp costs around $375. Do camps help players improve? Yes. Will players improve as much in 1 week as they could playing 6 months of cLub? NOT EVEN CLOSE! Club volleyball is where the best players develop their skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the tournaments like?

The tournaments usually start at 8:00 am and can last until 4:00 pm. Players need to be at the playing site at least 45 minutes before they play. If you are the working team, players need to be there 30 minutes before the match starts. Coaches will let parents and players know what time to arrive. Most teams will play at least 4 matches per day during tournaments. Since we are a USAV club, most of our tournaments are hosted by Capitol Sports Center. Schedules and opponents are shared 3 days ahead of the tournament.

What if my daughter has to miss a practice?

The more the girls practice together, the more they will improve individually as well as a team. We do understand other commitments and family obligations, though. Any time a player needs to miss a practice, we ask that you make every effort to contact the coach ahead of time so that they may plan the practice effectively.

How much are fees?

The cost per season varies depending on tournament entry fees and number teams each year. Fees are payable in installments if necessary. We also require a $80 non-refundable tryout fee, which is not applied to the season fees.

The fees for 2023-24 season will be $1425.00 per player. Payment in full is required by January unless alternative payment arrangements are made with Lisa Butcher, Club Director. Checks may be made to Pantera Volleyball Club.

Is playing time guaranteed?

Game time in tournaments is not guaranteed. We do guarantee, however, that your player will be given equal opportunity at practice to develop the skills that will help her improve.

What does my money pay for?

For this club, the payments goes toward buying uniforms, backpacks, tournament entry fees, gym rental fees and coaches fees. We usually have at least one overnight tournament that will require a hotel stay, which club fees do not cover.

Just how much will my daughter improve?

Each player will develop their volleyball skills based on several things:

1.      Their ability to adjust and change.

2.      How well they listen and follow directions.

3.      How hard they work to improve.

4.      Their commitment to a healthy lifestyle, on and off the court.

5.      The amount of practices they consistently attend along with the number of tournaments they compete in.

Playing with positivity

A group of Division I college players was asked to name the most meaningful comment their parent gave them after a match. By far, the most popular answer was “i love watching you play.”

Staying positive after a tough match fosters mental toughness. criticism is contagious. be supportive of your daughter without judging her, your coach, or the team.
